IOM Mozambique releases the updated IOM HDPN Roadmap for northern Mozambique (2022-2026): 2024 Overview

Maputo, 08 March - IOM Mozambique releases the updated IOM HDPN Roadmap for northern Mozambique (2022-2026): 2024 Overview.

Given the deteriorating situation in Cabo Delgado over the past weeks, it remains imperative to emphasize the significance of the Humanitarian-Development-Peace Nexus (HDPN) approach. It is therefore timely to release the 2024 Overview of the IOM HDPN Roadmap for Northern Mozambique.

The aim of the IOM HDPN Roadmap is to update our partners on IOM's analysis of the situation in Northern Mozambique and show our approach and funding needs in response to the ongoing complex crisis. It is updated annually to adapt to the changing context. In 2024, IOM seeks USD 96 million to continue and expand its interventions and to continue supporting the Government in addressing humanitarian needs, mitigating conflict and displacement drivers, and laying the groundwork for development and solutions for displacement in Northern Mozambique.

The identified priorities and results in this Roadmap require collective efforts from all stakeholders and IOM is prepared to assist the Government and collaborate with relevant partners to strengthen community resilience against the adverse effects of conflict, fragility, and displacement in Northern Mozambique.
